Professional Associations

All therapist at Hand Works are either full members or associate members of the Australian Hand Therapy Associations and are registered Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

aphra-logo-01We endeavour in contributing and sharing our knowledge to the profession. Over the past years, we have presented in numerous professional events organised by the Western Australian Hand Therapy Interest Group and Occupational Therapy WA. All of our staff members are actively involved in the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA). In addition to that Lani and Stuart are also currently part of the AHTA WA subcommittee for 2014/15.

In addition to that, Thuy, one of Hand Works staff therapists is currently the co-convenor of the West Australian Hand Interest Group, and is responsible at organising bimonthly meetings and coordinating presenters for interest group meetings.

Australian Hand Therapy AssociationHand Works team have also attended an array of AHTA courses throughout the year, providing feedback to the rest of the team to maintain clinical consistency and best practice. Some of the courses attended were:

  • Advanced Trauma Course
  • Orthotic Fabrication Mobilisation Course – Level 2
  • Manual Edema Mobilising Course
