Thuy Tran – Senior Therapist and Research Coordinator

IMG_0376_edited-1Thuy (pronounced “Twee”) graduated from Curtin University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy with first class honours.

Thuy has a strong interest in research and has published a journal article in the area of ergonomics and its impact on children’s computer use. She is currently completing her PhD in the chosen area of Lateral Epicondylitis (LE) and will work closely with her colleagues at Hand Works and supervisors from Curtin University to complete this over the next few years.

She is a convenor of the OT Australia WA Hand Interest Group and a full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association. Thuy has completed the AHTA Fundamentals of Hand Therapy, Orthotic Fabrication – Mobilising Course and the Advance Trauma course.

Thuy is particularly interested in treating soft tissue injuries and computer ergonomics.
