Karen Marthins

Karen has over 25 years of experience as a Senior Occupational Therapist in a variety of areas such as neurological rehabilitation, general medicine, vocational rehabilitation, pain management and, for the past 7 years, hand therapy. Her experience has spanned both the public and private sectors; locally, interstate and internationally. Karen has a passion for hand therapy with an emphasis on restoration of maximum function. She particularly enjoys utilising her skills in vocational rehabilitation to assist patients with hand and upper limb problems in the return to work process. The evolving areas of soft splinting and proprioceptive therapy are of particular interest to her.

Karen is a current member of OT Australia WA, OT WA Hand Interest Group, an Associate Member of the AHTA and has previously lectured at Curtin University in Occupational Rehabilitation.
