Quality Improvement

The staff at Hand Works Occupational Therapy pride ourselves on quality assurance and maintaining a high standard of service delivery to ensure that our patients continue to receive the upmost care. We do this through a number of mediums, to cater for a diverse range of educational topics and individual therapist needs.

1) Mentoring and Supervision program
New staff members initially enter a mentoring program involving weekly one on one professional development to best enhance individual learning.

2) Professional development events
All staff actively participate at our in-house professional development on a monthly basis, providing the opportunity to review the latest literature and ensure we maintain the current and best clinical approach to treatment. Some of our recent topics include best evidence for management of Scaphoid Fractures, DRUJ Instability, Manual Oedema Mobilisation and Managing Stiffness.

3) Research and literature review
Staffs at Hand Works Occupational Therapy often carry out research projects and literature reviews as we strive at providing treatments that are evidence based.

Your ongoing feedback is important to us, we would greatly appreciate any comments or suggestions to continue our service delivery and quality improvement. Please drop us an email, or complete our online patient satisfaction survey by clicking here.
